Nike is bringing back the Air Rift 2 "Kenya" through its SNKRS Verified line, giving the early 2000s silhouette another moment in the spotlight. First released in 2002, the Air Rift 2 builds on the split-toe language introduced by the original Air Rift while pushing the design into chunkier, more geometric territory. The shoe carries a Kenyan theme that nods to both the Rift series' performance running roots and Nike's long history of drawing inspiration from Kenyan distance runners.
The Air Rift 2 departs from its predecessor with a fuller, bootie-style interior and a thicker, more structured sole that adds stability without abandoning the airy spirit the Rift line is known for. The tabi sock-inspired toe split remains the silhouette's defining feature, present at the forefoot and extending underneath to keep the connection to the original intact. Pocketed side paneling gives the shoe a futuristic character consistent with other experimental Nike releases from that era. The "Kenya" colorway runs in Black, Team Dark Green, and Fire Red.
