The Nike Air Max Plus "Scorpion" Arrives Summer 2026

Nike is extending its Scorpion series to the Air Max Plus with a darkened colorway that leans into the collection's venom-inspired identity. Where earlier Scorpion releases played with bolder contrasts, this build pulls the palette toward a blacked-out base accented by metallic silver and restrained hits of color, placing the Air Max Plus alongside the Air Max Plus VII, Air Max 90, and Air Max 95 already in the lineup.

Obsidian mesh covers the entire upper, preserving the silhouette's classic ribbed structure while keeping the overall look deliberately dark. The Tuned Air cage system receives a metallic silver coating that traces the shoe's signature wavy form, adding a reflective quality that reads sharp without breaking from the muted base. Black gloss finishes on the toe and mudguard reinforce the depth of the palette and keep the construction cohesive throughout. Blue accents land on the small side Swooshes and reappear on traction pods across the outsole, giving the design its clearest pop of contrast. Bright yellow surfaces on the visible Air unit and the "Tn Air" branding, while red is worked into the outsole and insole artwork in smaller doses.

A scorpion logo embroidered on the tongue patch ties the build to its namesake theme without overwhelming the design. The badge features a hex-style black border with a white scorpion graphic inside, keeping the detail subtle enough to let the overall construction carry the concept. Inside the shoe, a small red accent appears in the insole artwork, a detail that only reveals itself when looking directly down at foot.
