The Nike Air Max Joga Bonito "Black/University Red" Releases September 2026

Nike is bringing the Air Max Joga Bonito back in a colorway that leans heavily on black and charcoal, with University Red and white stepping in as the primary contrast elements. The "Black/University Red" build keeps the palette tight, letting the silhouette's stacked construction and heavy tooling do most of the visual work rather than relying on a loud color story.

The upper is built from several synthetic panels that shift between glossy, matte, and lightly patterned finishes, adding surface variation across the toe box and along the sides without breaking the dark overall look. Dark piping follows the layered edges of the shoe, and black laces with a matching lining keep things uniform throughout. The white Swoosh is the clearest break from all that black, while smaller branding near the heel stays understated. University Red appears around the tongue, on the insoles, and in sections of the outsole, with a dark red tint also visible through the large Air unit at the heel. Multiple visible Air chambers run through the midsole, which stays black from front to back, reinforcing the bulky, cushioned profile the Joga Bonito is known for.
