The Nike Air Liquid Max "Black/Radiant Blue" Releases Summer 2026

Nike is pushing visible cushioning to a new extreme with the Air Liquid Max, a silhouette built around a full-length Air unit that looks almost poured beneath the shoe. For Summer 2026, the brand is releasing the "Black/Radiant Blue" colorway, a build that keeps the upper deliberately dark so the Aurora Green cushioning platform becomes the immediate focal point.

Black mesh forms the base of the upper, accented by suede-like overlays that add texture without breaking the dark tone. Radiant Blue and Aurora Green accents weave across the lower panels in an undulating pattern meant to evoke flowing liquid, bridging the upper's design to the cushioning story below. Chrome-plated Swooshes on each side create a sharp metallic contrast against the predominantly black construction. Aurora Green insoles with black Swoosh branding and Air Max branding on the heel tabs and outsole round out the upper detailing.

The standout feature is underfoot. A translucent Aurora Green Air unit runs the full length of the shoe, shaped with rounded pods that give the silhouette its distinctive bubbled-out profile. Nike carries that teal tone onto the midsole and heel clip, while purple traction pods on the outsole add a deeper contrast layer. Black laces and striped tongue labels keep the top half grounded, letting the cushioning setup remain the defining element of the colorway.
