If you’re a fan of the Nike Air Foamposite, this is your Super Bowl. In 2012 the Foamposite took the sneaker world by storm with the recently re-released Penny Hardaway PE was one of the sought after shoes of the year. However, the Penny PE was only the second most hyper Foamposite to be released that year.
The Nike Air Foamposite Galaxy had people acting crazy. Some camped out for upwards of a week, some started fights outside of stores, and some were offering bags of cash for retailers to open up the back door. Now nearly 12 years later, the Galaxy colorway makes a comeback and hopefully history won’t repeat itself. With Nike and the vast majority of other retailers having transitioned to digital releases (thanks in large to the OG Foamposite release), the upcoming 2024 release should be much less hysteria-inducing.
The Nike Air Foamposite Galaxy features a translucent outsole with icy blue undertones and a small carbon fiber midsole panel. The upper uses black nubuck around the eye stays but the jewel of the Galaxy is the intergalactic imagery on the foam paneling that encompasses the shoe.
The Nike Air Foamposite Galaxy is currently scheduled to release Spring 2025 for a retail price of $240 through the SNKRS App and at other select retailers nationwide. Be sure to stay tuned right here and follow us on Twitter and Instagram for all your sneaker release updates.
