The New Balance 991v1 "Luxe Suede" Arrives July 2026

New Balance is revisiting one of its most enduring Made in UK silhouettes with the 991v1 "Luxe Suede," a unisex release built around a full tan suede upper. First introduced in 2001, the 991 spent more than two decades as a staple of the Made in UK program before the 991v2 arrived in 2023. The original has continued to surface in focused, material-driven runs, and this latest iteration leans into premium construction as its primary statement.

The upper departs from the mesh-heavy builds most associated with the 991 family, replacing those panels almost entirely with tan suede that gives the silhouette a denser, more textured appearance. Dark brown laces contrast against the lighter base, while the tongue label and midsole arrive in white to keep the palette grounded. Black and grey carry through to the outsole, rounding out a color blocking approach that lets the suede do the heavy lifting without relying on additional branding or accent colors.
