Nearly 2 Years In The Making The Adidas x Fear Of God Slide Has Finally Surfaced
If you were just starting to wonder whatever happened to the Adidas and Fear of God creator Jerry Lorenzo union, you are not alone. Since parting ways with Nike over two years ago the partnership has yet to yield a collaborative effort.
The two have gone back and forth on creative direction since the co-op was announced in December of 2020, but it now seems there is a plan in place and a way forward. In a statement obtained by Arch-US the Adidas PR team announced, “Jerry Lorenzo and Fear of God are focused on the launch of our third pillar, Fear of God Athletics in partnership with Adidas, which will debut the first half of 2023.”
Thanks to images obtained by @youngviet23 we now have a taste of what has been going on behind the scenes. The first piece to surface is an all-white slide with an embossed three stripe logo across the top. The sole of the slide also features the Fear Of God name in light grey lettering.
It still remains to be seen when the slide, or any other pieces of the collection will be released but 2024 is rumored to be a more realistic drop date. When the collection is finally ready for showtime you can expect it to release via Fear Of God and Adidas online shops.
