Kith, Lionel Messi, and adidas Football have teamed up for a six-shoe collection that marks two milestones at once: Messi's 20 years on the world stage and Kith's 15th anniversary as a brand. Ronnie Fieg and Messi both had a hand in shaping the lineup, which pulls from football performance history on one end and adidas lifestyle staples on the other.
The performance side of the collection centers on three silhouettes tied directly to Messi's adidas career. The Copa 17 UltraBOOST revives the Kith-built hybrid from 2017, combining a Copa Mundial-style leather upper with UltraBOOST cushioning, snakeskin embossing, blue contrast stitching, and chrome heel clips. The F50 Megaride works a black-to-blue gradient upper over Bounce tooling, with a translucent midsole that shifts appearance depending on which of its replaceable insoles is installed, and asymmetrical Kith and Messi logos at the heels. The F50 Inframe nods to Messi's first adidas boot from the 2006 World Cup, featuring a white-to-blue gradient upper, tongue shroud, and a visible cleat construction.
Kith rounds out the collection with two Handball Spezial colorways and a deconstructed Superstar. The "Light Pink/Off White-Gum" Handball Spezial pairs a textile upper with suede overlays and a gum sole for a clean lifestyle finish. The "White/Collegiate Royal-Gold" version adds asymmetrical blue and yellow Three Stripes as a subtle Messi reference. The Superstar gets a premium leather build with removed padding for a lighter feel. Every pair in the collection ships with a commemorative Lionel Messi trading card, with select autographed and PSA-graded cards inserted randomly across the run.
The Kith x Messi x adidas Football Collection draw opens May 27th on the Kith App, with select pairs releasing May 29th at 11AM through Kith, Kith stores, and the Kith App. Prices range from $120 for the Handball Spezial pairs, $140 for the Superstar, $180 for the F50 Megaride and F50 Inframe, and $200 for the Copa 17 UltraBOOST.
