Kith For New Balance “Malibu” MT580 & MS1300 Drop This Week
As the empire of Kith expands, so does the legend of their grand opening sneaker releases. Previous store openings have brought some of the cleanest Air Force 1s for the Hawaii store and Canadian flag-themed New Balances to honor the Toronto opening. The next store to open its doors will be Kith Malibu in one of the most beautiful shorelines California has to offer, and a two-piece New Balance collection will be there to celebrate. The Kith x New Balance “Malibu” release will feature an MS1300 and an MT580 to commemorate the brand's 19th retail location.
Both shoes feature a chilled-out California beach motif with suede and canvas-clad uppers. The MT580 features an all-cream upper with soft peach highlights on the “N” logo and heel tab. The outsole and heel cup use a darker mauve to give the shoe some contrast and round out the design for the MT580. The MS1300 uses the same color palette and mixed materials but features a 50/50 mauve and grey wrap-around suede mudguard.
Both New Balances are making their Kith debut, and founder Ronnie Fieg was keen to bring them both into the fold, especially the MT580 as he stated he “needed this silhouette in the catalog.” The Kith x New Balance “Malibu” MS1300 and MT580 will be available to the public through a special raffle on the Kith App opening on July 2nd and via the Kith website on July 4th.
