When musician Jae Tips dropped his "Remember Who Fronted" Saucony Grid Azura 2000 earlier this year, not many could have predicted its standing ovation. The shoe was acclaimed by many in the sneaker world and has found its way onto many Sneaker Of The Year lists. Now Tips and Saucony are back with their sophomore offering with the Grid Shadow 2 "What's The Occasion" pack.
The Jae Tips x Saucony Grid Shadow 2 "What's The Occasion" is a two-pack release that features shoes-themed "Wear To A Party" and "Wear To A Date." The "Party" pair has a white mesh base layer with pink and lime green leather overlays, peach highlights around the tip, and a brown suede mudguard. The "Wear To A Date " blends soft pink details, teal suede, and blue mesh on the foundation. Both pairs come with Tips' signature floral logos on the heels and their respective occasion scrawled on the insoles.
The Jae Tips x Saucony Grid Shadow 2 "What's The Occasion" pack was available on-site at last weekend's ComplexCon for those in attendance. We do expect to see a wider release from Saucony in the near future, with a retail price of $150. Once full release details are announced, we'll post them first on our Twitter and Instagram.
