Footshop Opens First French Store in Paris

Czech retailer Footshop has landed in Paris, opening its first French store on June 3rd, 2026, at 63 rue de Rivoli in the city's first arrondissement. Positioned between the Forum des Halles and La Samaritaine, the location places the brand squarely in one of the capital's most active commercial corridors. For founder and CEO Peter Hajduček, the move was a matter of timing rather than intent, with Paris long viewed as an inevitable stop on the group's European expansion.

The store spans 170 square metres across two floors and introduces a new architectural concept developed by Prague-based firm Rdth, set to roll out across the broader Footshop network. The design draws on a refined industrial aesthetic, pairing raw concrete floors with modular stainless steel fixtures and translucent fabric panels animated by dynamic lighting. The space is conceived as a gallery environment, with footwear and apparel displayed as objects rather than merchandise. A digital installation by Czech artist Richard Loskot replaces traditional commercial signage on the facade.

The product mix balances globally recognized names, including Nike, New Balance, Puma, and Asics, with more niche labels such as Off-White, Heliot Emil, and Represent, alongside Footshop's own premium apparel line FTSHP and a selection of exclusive collaborations. The Paris opening marks the group's sixth European location and is backed by a growing financial profile: Footshop reported 61.6 million euros in turnover for 2024, with 75 percent sourced from international markets, and posted 36.5 million euros in revenue for the first half of 2025, a 38 percent year-over-year increase.
