Japanese fashion label Comme des Garcons (CDG) has been a titan of industry for over fifty years. They've withstood countless trends and even set some of their own. Now headquartered in Paris, the brand has become a top-tier casual luxury player. They have a reputation for focusing their designs on basic black-and-white themes and interpreting many popular sneakers through their lens. The next project for the brand, helmed by Junya Watanabe, is the Comme des Garcons x Nike Air Max TL 2.5 pack.
Three shoes will be released as part of the Comme des Garçons x Nike Air Max TL 2.5 pack. The Air Max TL 2.5 takes inspiration from the iconic waved lines running through the Air Max 97, and the CDG design uses hyphenated pinstriping running from front to back. The uppers comprise full-grain leather and breathable mesh around the toe box. The three-pack release comes in triple black, triple white, and a hybrid model with a black topside and white undercarriage.
The Comme des Garçons x Nike Air Max TL 2.5 is due out sometime in Fall 2024 with an unknown price. All three shoes are slated to drop initially at Dover Street Markets' in-store and online platforms and other select boutique retailers.
