Jordan Brand is bringing a tropical theme to the Air Jordan 4 with the women's exclusive "Birds of Paradise," a colorway that looked considerably more muted in early mockups than it does in official photos. The actual execution pulls from a palette of Coconut Milk, Metallic Gold, Muslin, Bright Mango, Sundial, and Black, and the finished shoe carries considerably more character than those beige-heavy early renders led people to expect.

The upper keeps things calm through most of its construction. Soft neutral shades cover the pebbled leather base, while suede lands on the toe box, tongue label, and backtab to add textural contrast without disrupting the restrained palette. Semi-translucent TPU wings and eyestays further distinguish the real pair from the leather-heavy mockups, giving the silhouette a lighter, more refined feel. A Metallic Gold Jumpman on the heel adds a precise premium touch without tipping the design into full gold-accent territory.

The color story shifts dramatically underfoot. A tropical outsole mixes semi-translucent Bright Mango and Sundial panels, delivering the kind of vibrant pop that most observers expected to see more of on the upper. The pair also arrives with special packaging covered in tropical plant artwork, which reinforces the theme in a way that ties the whole release together.
