The Air Jordan 3 "True Blue" Returns July 2026

The Air Jordan 3 "True Blue" is making its return in Summer 2026, bringing back one of the model's most celebrated original colorways nearly a decade after its last retro run. First introduced in 1988 and designed by Tinker Hatfield, the Air Jordan 3 marked a turning point for Michael Jordan's signature line, introducing visible Air cushioning, the Jumpman branding, and the now-iconic elephant print. The "True Blue" colorway stood apart from the Bulls-red palette that defined most early Jordans, offering a cleaner, brighter look that has kept it in high regard ever since.

The upcoming retro stays true to the original construction, arriving on a white leather upper with True Blue and Fire Red accents spread across the traditional detail points. Elephant print overlays cover the toe box and heel, and the execution here appears to lean toward the slimmer, more refined print that defined the 1988 release rather than the heavier renditions that drew criticism in past retros. The visible Air unit sits in the heel as expected, and the Jumpman tongue logo and cement-speckled midsole round out a build that keeps the focus on fidelity to the source material.

The Air Jordan 3 "True Blue" is set to release on July 18, 2026 in full family sizing through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers for a retail price of $230 for men's.
