Jordan Brand's ongoing exploration of the later chapters in Michael Jordan's signature line arrives at the Air Jordan 17 Low with a "Black Patent" colorway. The silhouette has been building momentum through a string of recent retros, and this entry leans into the polished, dressed-up aesthetic that defined the original Air Jordan 17 when it debuted in 2002. The result is a low-top build that draws loosely from the "Black Chrome" edition of that era, updated with premium materials and subtle tonal detailing throughout.

Glossy black patent leather takes over the majority of the upper, giving the shoe a lacquered, high-contrast surface. Perforated leather panels appear around the ankle and quarter panels, introducing a softer texture that breaks up the uniformity of the shine. Metallic silver eyestays provide the most visible contrast against the dark base, while black laces and a padded collar keep the surrounding details understated. Smoky translucent sections wrap around the midfoot and heel, adding visual depth without pulling the colorway away from its dark foundation.

Jumpman branding is woven into the heel area with additional logo placements on the tongue, insoles, and outsole.
