Jordan Brand is giving the Air Jordan 12 an official name to match its story: "Idols Become Rivals." The colorway draws directly from the Player Exclusive Ray Allen wore during his Milwaukee Bucks tenure in the early 2000s, built around the idea that Allen grew up idolizing Michael Jordan before eventually facing him on the court. Allen's original Bucks PE first surfaced in 2004 and has stayed among the most coveted player exclusives in Jordan collector circles. This retail version brings that inspiration to a wider audience without carrying an official player connection.

White leather covers the majority of the upper, while a deep Green mudguard wraps the lower half of the silhouette through the textured paneling to establish the Bucks-inspired palette. Metallic Purple lands on the eyelets and midfoot plate, and Purple branding appears on the tongue to complete the three-color arrangement. The retail edition follows Allen's original PE closely in spirit, though the custom heel lettering from his personal pair has been replaced with standard Jordan branding, keeping the design as a tribute to the era rather than a direct replica.
