The Air Jordan 1 High OG "Love The Game" Arrives August 2026

Jordan Brand is drawing from one of the more personal chapters of Michael Jordan's legacy with the Air Jordan 1 High OG "Love The Game," a colorway built around the farewell letter he wrote to basketball upon retiring from the Chicago Bulls. Rather than leaning on on-court iconography, this release translates the sentiment of that letter directly into the materials and details of the shoe.

The upper pairs white leather with rich brown textured overlays and tan accents at the collar, heel, and outsole. The leather paneling carries a deliberately rugged feel, and the collar and heel are shaped and finished to evoke the grain of a basketball, connecting the construction back to the theme without relying on overt graphics. A burgundy outsole grounds the palette and gives this release a point of distinction from earlier earth-toned Jordan 1 iterations like the "Mocha" and "Latte." The storytelling extends to the finer details: "Much Love and Respect," a phrase drawn from Jordan's retirement letter, appears on the medial collar and on a basketball-shaped leather hangtag, while additional references to the letter are carried on the tongue tags.

The Air Jordan 1 High OG "Love The Game" is set to release on August 1st, 2026 through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers for a retail price of $185. Full family sizing will be available.
