The adidas Samba Mule Releases Fall 2026

adidas is putting a new spin on one of its most recognizable silhouettes with the Samba Mule, a slip-on take on the classic Samba that keeps the familiar low-profile shape up front while removing the heel counter entirely. The result is a shoe that reads like a Samba from the side but functions as a backless mule, making it one of the more interesting structural departures the Samba has seen in recent years.

Off-white leather covers most of the upper, with light grey suede wrapping the toe box in a contrast that stays close to the Samba's traditional color blocking. Black Three Stripes cut across the sides in their usual placement, while gold "SAMBA" lettering sits near the collar for a refined branding touch. White laces rest over the tongue, which features a small gold Trefoil at the top. At the heel, adidas strips away the standard counter and collar structure entirely, leaving the back open and giving the shoe its defining mule characteristic. From the front and sides, the silhouette holds its shape without giving away the modification. Underfoot, a dark brown gum rubber sole rounds out the build with the Samba's familiar tread pattern, adding contrast against the cream, grey, and black upper while keeping the design grounded in the original look.
