Metallic Gold TPU handles the most visually prominent work on the upper, wrapping the toe and forming the winged support panels that extend along the sidewalls toward the heel. The glossy finish contrasts cleanly against the black vented sections that fill the space between the gold paneling, giving the AE 2's sculpted silhouette a sharper, more refined character without compromising its on-court intent. Solar Turbo detailing appears across the tongue, heel, and outsole, adding a quick burst of contrast, while a red AE logo on the tongue serves as the colorway's most distinct branding moment and ties the build back to Edwards' broader adidas Basketball identity.
