By now the images of the Action Bronson x New Balance 990v6 Baklava colorway have made the rounds online but a new pair has recently surfaced. In a not-so-subtle reveal, the famed rapper, wrestler, and now sneaker designer dropped an image of a blue-toned colorway on his personal Instagram this week.
In a break from the color-contrasting Baklava pair, this new blue pair has a more monochromatic vibe. Different shades of blue suede make up the upper while an off-white panel of the midsole breaks it up a little. The pair also sports a gum outsole with work-boot style laces, and a grey-toned New Balance logo and sock liner bring the pair to life. According to Bronson's post, frequent New Balance collaborator and founder of Aime Leon Diore, Teddy Santis, was largely instrumental in the design of the collection. It remains a mystery if the blue pair will be for Friends and Family or if it will actually be released to the public.
An initial release of the collaboration will happen on March 17, 2023 through specializinginlife.com. A global release for the Action Bronson x New Balance 990v6 collection will come later in 2023 via New Balance and select NB retailers online and in-store.
