Action Bronson is stepping into new territory with the New Balance 2811, his first entirely original signature silhouette built under his BAKLAVA label. Unlike his earlier New Balance projects, which reimagined existing models, the 2811 was developed from the ground up with Bronson involved in shaping the design from the start. He launched the shoe with a short film he described as a Balkan-inspired romantic crime thriller set in the late 1990s and early 2000s, following him through New York as he evades trouble and attempts to hack into a mainframe.
The 2811 pairs a chunky, trail-influenced upper with the ABZORB-cushioned sole unit from the New Balance 2010, giving it a technical foundation with a familiar New Balance feel. Layered synthetic panels run across the toe and midfoot, adding structure without pushing the silhouette too far outside the brand's established aesthetic. The debut "Mikročpske" colorway opens with pale yellow-green mesh as the base, layered with deep teal overlays and black leather around the toe and heel. Cobalt blue covers the tongue, which carries embroidered BAKLAVA and New Balance 2811 branding.
