Riddhi Mahajan is only 15 years old and is living with cystic fibrosis, she is also getting her shot at designing an Air Jordan 1 Low, thanks to the Doernbecher Freestyle program. This partnership joins Doernbecher patient designers with Nike visionaries to create footwear, apparel, and equipment collections, all to benefit OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital.
Riddhi Mahajan radiates positivity everywhere she goes, she made sure her design would radiate the same feeling. The shoe comes in shades of a rainbow, the laces start off as purple that fade into orange, that fades into yellow. The Nike Swoosh comes in a lighter purple while the shoes overlays come in forest green. Lime green is used on the lining and toe box, along with the words "Brand New Day" in cursive. Radiate positivity is inscribed on the side panels over the Swoosh and the pair is finished off with a white midsole, and purple outsole.
The Riddhi Mahajan-designed Air Jordan 1 Low Doernbecher is expected to drop early 2023 via the Nike SNKRS APP and select Jordan Brand retailers. No official price tag has been set, but we'll keep you posted. You can check out official images of the collaboration below.
